The Teen Awareness Group of Hudson Headwaters Health Network is made possible by a New York State Department of Health Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention grant.
The mission and goal of the Teen Awareness Group is to reduce unplanned adolescent pregnancy and STI/HIV infection rates among youth in Warren and Washington counties through comprehensive evidence-based sexual health education and life skills preparation for youth. We also work to improve youth access to sexual and reproductive health care services as well as build partnerships and collaborations to support local youth growing into young adulthood.
The Teen Awareness Group envisions a region in which youth are knowledgeable about themselves and are empowered to utilize that knowledge to effectively protect their health and well-being while pursuing their educational and vocational dreams without the weight and challenges of an unplanned pregnancy or other reproductive health barrier.
